Accessibility (MYDA) – Making Your Documents Accessible
Delivery: E-Learning course.
Duration: Up to 2 hours, self-paced, split into modules.
Rationale: Around 20% of people in developed countries may struggle to read and understand your digital documents, unless they have been made accessible using formatting and writing tools. This is due to disability, illness, injury, age and education factors and other impairments.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The MYDA program provides everything you need to Make Your Documents Accessible. Aligned with WCAG requirements, we cover: What accessibility is, why it’s important (there is a big emphasis on “the WHY?”, who is responsible, what tools are available, and how to apply these tools effectively. It’s unique, experiential, engaging, challenging and interesting.

Participants will learn guidelines, tools and techniques for creating accessible, comprehensible documents. In particular:
- What digital accessibility means in terms of government and industry content
- Why they must use accessibility tools and resources
- That they are personally responsible for ensuring documents they create are accessible.
- When to use accessibility tools and resources, and Where to find them.
- How to use these tools to make their documents MORE accessible
